GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides cleaning and minor maintenance for the total church facility.
Maintains an inventory of custodial supplies
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED preferred
Prior maintenance experience preferred. References will be requested
Ability to organize, coordinate, and schedule cleaning tasks for maximum
efficiency
Dependable, responsible, and self-motivated
Regular and timely attendance during stated and negotiated hours
Effective communication skills and a dedicated team player with staff
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time
Ability to lift 60 lbs.
Have complete mobility in building and grounds activities
ACCOUNTABILITY
Reports to the Pastor
WORK WEEK TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
It is expected that this part-time position will require an average of 20 hrs./wk. Expected to work additional hours for Weddings, Funerals, and special events as directed by Pastor.
HOLIDAYS
Recognized holidays are non-paid time off for this position and must be discussed with Pastor.
VACATION/SICK DAYS
Vacation days will be 20 hours paid/yearly. Need to be in consultation with Pastor
Sick days- Need to be in consultation with Pastor
PA Child Abuse Clearance – will need to be obtained and maintained every 5 years.
ACCIDENTS AND INJURY
Follow State and Department of Labor regulations
COMPENSATION
Negotiated with the Finance and Executive Committee
EVALUATION
A performance review will be conducted three (3) months after initial employment. Following satisfactory review, employment status will be changed from probationary to permanent. There will be an annual review.
SEPARATION OF EMPLOYMENT (RESIGNATION/TERMINATION)
Due to the importance of position we ask if you decide to leave that a one (1) month notice is given in writing to the Pastor/Executive Committee. Trinity UCC reserves the right to terminate the terms of employment without written notice, if the employee violates the contract in any way, commits an act that puts others at risk, found committing an act that is illegal, or is unable to carry out the responsibilities of the job description.
