JONAH 3:1-5, 10

God was "fed up" with the corruption of Nineveh and sent Jonah to preach.  Nineveh believed and donned sackcloth.  Therefore, God (Yahweh) changed his mind and the city was spared.

1 CORINTHIANS 7:29-31

St. Paul urges us to "sit loose" toward the world we live in.  We are not to get caught up in either the moods of the world or the stuff of the world.  After all, the Kingdom of God is coming and therefore the world in its present form is passing away.

MARK 1:14-20

Jesus calls his disciples and with authority commands their lives.  As disciples we are told to "catch" people by preaching good news of the kingdom.
