HEBREWS 13:1-8,15-16

the Hebrews are exhorted to live a life of compassion and support.  They are called to praise God continually through Jesus Christ, "the same yesterday, today and tomorrow."

LUKE 14:1,7-14

Jesus teaches his followers humility by using the metaphor of proper guest behavior at a wedding banquet.  Be sure you don't get caught up playing the game of who is best or more important.  Be humble, taking the seat of least honor.  Do things for those who cannot repay your kindness.
